EVAN Foundation Against Neuroblastoma

Neuroblastoma is one of the most complex and devastating of all pediatric cancers. It is a tumor of the sympathetic nervous system that quickly spreads throughout the entire body. It is a cowardly disease that primarily strikes young children before the age of 5. Though extremely rare, this terrible cancer struck down my good friend Evan Lindberg at the age of seven. Approximately 700 new cases of the disease are seen in the United States every year, and less that 30 percent of children diagnosed with neuroblastoma survive.
