Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Jerry’s start in real estate came in 2004, when he began buying and managing investment properties in the Fort Meade, Maryland, area. Jerry obtained his real estate license and set to work helping other buyers and sellers avoid the problems he encountered navigating the complex Maryland real estate laws.

In 2008, Jerry focused his real estate business on helping distressed homeowners deal with the crushing economic meltdown; in fact, his very first client was an “under water” Gambrills, Md., homeowner who needed to sell her property but couldn’t get any realtors to help her. Jerry did. He sold her “short sale” property in three days and convinced her lender to forgive more than $120,000 in mortgage debt. Jerry even convinced the lender to provide her $3,000 for moving expenses.

For buyers during the real estate market crash, Jerry uncovered once-in-a-lifetime values. Jerry helped one client, for example, purchase a single family home that had been listed for $450,000. Jerry’s client paid $260,000.

Using his folksy manner, focus on details and intimate knowledge of the local housing market, Jerry has helped hundreds of clients relocate to the central Maryland area from all over the world. He has been a particularly valuable resource for active-duty and retired military personnel, many of whom have moved to the Fort Meade / Andrews Air Force Base / Washington, D.C. areas from places like Germany, Canada, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, California and Hawaii.

Often, Jerry’s clients have school-aged children and short deadlines for transitioning to this area. Jerry is very familiar with the local school districts; he works personally with such clients to get them moved into their new homes quickly and make sure they get settled comfortably.

Sellers are also a key component of Jerry’s business. Unlike most realtors, Jerry is not content simply to carry a lot of listings -- he is committed to selling his clients’ homes. His persistence, comprehensive market knowledge and pool of ready buyers means Jerry closes his deals – and does so more quickly than most realtors. Using his PREMIERE 67-POINT MARKETING PLAN, Jerry garners the very best price for homes in the shortest amount of time. Indeed, on average, Jerry sells his listings for 99 percent of the asking price – far above the industry standard.

Jerry fosters and saves real estate deals for his clients by anticipating and avoiding potential problems, focusing on the fine print and listening to his client’s needs. It takes energy, commitment and know-how to help people buy and sell homes, and Jerry promises to give you all he’s got.
