Jerry’s Favorite Charities

I enthusiastically support the following charitable causes. They are very much deserving of your support!

American Heart Association

American Heart AssociationThe American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest, largest voluntary organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, the organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters working tirelessly to eliminate these diseases. The association funds innovative research, fights for stronger public health policies and provides lifesaving tools and information to save and improve lives.

Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy

Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards AcademyThe Watershed Stewards Academy (WSA) is an initiative of Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works and Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center to train community leaders, called “Master Watershed Stewards,” to reduce the negative impacts of stormwater runoff in Anne Arundel  County. The Academy and its Stewards help local residents reduce their pollution, capture stormwater, clean up streams and shorelines and conserve and protect undeveloped land.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Cystic Fibrosis FoundationThe mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care. The Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.

EVAN Foundation Against Neuroblastoma

EVAN Foundation Against NeuroblastomaNeuroblastoma is one of the most complex and devastating of all pediatric cancers. It is a tumor of the sympathetic nervous system that quickly spreads throughout the entire body. It is a cowardly disease that primarily strikes young children before the age of 5. Though extremely rare, this terrible cancer struck down my good friend Evan Lindberg at the age of seven. Approximately 700 new cases of the disease are seen in the United States every year, and less that 30 percent of children diagnosed with neuroblastoma survive.
